Matilda Yorke has been an editorial consultant for non-profit and profit organisations, specialising in writing, copyediting, design, and online and offline publishing for more than 35 years.
Writing interests lie in a wide variety of subjects including people, events, social awareness projects and tourism.
As a volunteer, Matilda provides editorial services to Kutumba, an NGO involved in strengthening the community and families, and is the editor of Pulse, the magazine of St. John’s Church, Bangalore. She was involved with Sahai, the suicide helpline of Medico Pastoral Association, a half-way home for the mentally challenged, and helped the Association and Vathsalya Charitable Trust, a child welfare agency, with their communication needs. Has attended counselling workshops by Medico Pastoral Association, and other Counselling associations
Matilda has freelanced for newspapers among them the student and mainline editions of Deccan Herald, The Hindu, the Femina and for the erstwhile Town Talk page of the Economic Times on Sundays, was correspondent for Oman Economic Review, a business magazine published from Oman, RetailME, a retail magazine published from Dubai, Sourcing Hardware, a trade magazine, published from New Delhi, and consultant for the weekly newsletter of the Rotary Club of Bangalore, Lavelle Road.
Matilda is a member of ASSOCHAM Southern region CSR and Sustainability committee, and co-chair of the Webinars & Communication sub-committee.
